Not best choice: Not all almond milk is gluten free. Check the label. Almond milk is very low in protein and fat which growing children may need. It can be high in sugar too. The almonds need to have been soaked/dehydrated first to rid phytic acid which blocks mineral absorption and causes tummy distress. Positives: iron, riboflavin and vitamin e, extra calcium.
