Focus: Learning to focus is a multifactorial process, and lack of focus is not necessarily a disease. Impossible to make suggestions without having all the facts but it does not appear that pills will fix this for you.

See your doctor: 28yo female with adult adhd on generic Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) 40mg/d asking what to expect from taking this treatment. She has not noticed benefit in two weeks and is fidgeting and can't read for more than 10 minutes. Either the treatment or the diagnosis of adult adhd needs to be re-evaluated. Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) can cause nervousness and fidgeting. See your physician and have them re-evaluate your meds and symptom.

Expect more: Medication for add should make a real change in your performance, &often in confidence. The dose is relevant, but equally important are the regimen (other rx), the duration of effect, treatment of related conditions, & other factors.Look for other subtle signs of improvement; if none, then see your dr (hopefully, an expert in add) &the entire med regimen(incl your risp) should be reevaluated &adjusted.
