Not enough information.: Unfortunately you did not have enough space to give us more information. However, even if you had the literature does not indicate a given process for memory recovery. Sometimes memory is not recovered and other cases there appear to be variations in memory recovery. I would direct you to an excellent article on this on wikipedia.Com. It turns out that the field of neuropsychiatry does not yet fully understand where memories are formed exactly. There are various types of memory. There are factual memories called declarative memories and then there are procedural memories. On top of this, declarative memory can be episodic or semantic. Furthermore there are sometimes islands of memory that are saved in cases of anterograde amnesia. I wish i could give you more information on how and whether anterograde amnesia comes back, but it depends upon the cause, the part of the brain affected, and probably a host of other factors that have not even been discovered yet. Best wishes to you and the person that you are concerned about.
