Acute serious stress: Can cause coronary spasm and lead to heart attack. This happens because during in an extraordinary stress situation , massive amount of Epinephrine and nor Epinephrine are released in to the blood stream . These hormones are very potent constrictors of flood vessels. They cause spasm of the coronary arteries ( arteries that supply oxygen and nutrient to heart ) , this cause heart attack
