See dentist: I is impossible to tell you what is going on. Is it worse whebn you eat? There are a number of things that can cause swelling ing this area so you need have an exam with a dentist or oral surgeon to find out exactly what is going on and how to best treat this. So call a dentist asap. In the meantime ibuprophen should help the pain. If you can't swollow go to er.
