Yes, it is common: People with anxiety often focus so much on the slightest sensation in their bodies. Often, they may even exacerbate normal functions and convince themsleves that something very bad is happening to their bodies. A lot of anxiety can also make people "feel" symptoms that have no match with the body's anatomy or physiology. Usually, effectively treating anxiety will make this a lot better.
