Often yes (but not: Always). See that you take xanax (alprazolam). It is very important to learn non-medicine ways to deal with anxiety. This can be done through therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy is often effective. Aim for 8 hours of sleep per night and a nutritious diet. Avoid caffeine & alcohol. Try to get physical activity every day. If you can do it outdoors - all the better. Look into options like acupuncture or tai chi.

Not completely: Anxiety disorder is a chronic disease just like diabetes or htn, it can be controlled and even be in complete remission with psychotherapy and medications but can flare up anytime with stressful situations. This is not meant to be psychiatric or medical advice, there is no doctor patient relationship here. Always call 911 or go to nearest er for medical or psychiatric emergency.

Sx awareness: Agree with dr. Fowler. Work on sx awareness: keep a diary of events that make you anxious: what did you feel, what thoughts did you have; where did anxiety feel in your body; what helped you feel better. Identify events that you can control and events that you cannot control. Have "crisis card" people who you can rely on when sx return. Keeping open communications with your providers. Good luck!
