Too soon to worry: Some local anesthetics can take up to 36 hours to wear off. Give things some more time before worrying. This is not totally unusual. Actually by the time the numbness wears off, you may be past the time of greatest discomfort!

No, not bad: Within normal limits. Some local anesthetics have a longer half-life, and also a higher concentration of vasoconstrictor within the formulation can also prolong the anesthetic's presence. Now tomorrow if you wake up just as numb then you should call the office to let them know.

NOT NORMAL: It can occur in such type of surgery, but is an "acceptable" complication as a nerve branch can be damaged. Go back to the clinic and they will surely take care of the problem. Most of the time it recovers without further symptoms, depending on the extent of the damage.
