Its almost 6 days after getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. is it normal to have really bad swelling still? (just on one side, which was the hardest to take out) swelling is on bottom left, under chin, and lips. also experiencing numbness?

2 thoughts: The more extensive the surgery, the greater the chance of post-surgical swelling.
Your treating General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon is responsible for your post-surgical care. Schedule an examination. In addition to swelling from trauma you may have an infection.

YES: Four surgical extractions at the same time causes a lot of trauma to the area and will lead to swelling. Some numbness is expected because of the nerve located in the lower left area. Place ice pack over area ,rinse with peroxide and water, call surgeon and ask for antibiotic and a post operative visit since you must have sutures in the extraction sites. If pain is severe ask for a prescription .
