A member asked:

What would cause a seemingly healthy 22 year old to die in her sleep? and is that normal?

Not normal: This is a tough call for the medical examiner. This can be anything from a well-executed homicide, to heart disease / pulmonary embolus, to death from glue sniffing with the paraphernalia removed by family, to drugs, to a channelopathy. I lost my cousin this way to right ventricular dysplasia. First-degree relatives might do well to get a baseline electrocardiogram.

Could be: Could be a blood clot, or an aneurysm or drug overdose or it could even just be sudden cardiac death caused by an arrhythmia or vascular etiology. Sorry for your loss if it was someone you knew.
