Only if: The fertility problem was only related to blocked tubes. If there is another fertility issue then surgery to open blocked tubes won't necessarily lead to pregnancy. Also even when surgery to unblock tubes actually works the tubes may not work as well, meaning a woman may still not get pregnant quickly and she is at risk for tubal pregnancy.
