See below.: If there is concern about antibiotic resistance, discuss with your doctor if it might be appropriate to have a urine culture and sensitivity test. This will grow the bacteria in your urine in the lab, speciate the type of bacteria, and check for antibiotic resistance at terms. This will allow for the physician to chose the best antibiotic for your particular infection. Hope you feel better soon.

Do not treat symptom: Symptoms of UTI do not need treatment.If one over treats with antibiotics resistance may develop. Maintenance of proper bladder hygiene , hydration and vaginal wall hygiene may solve lot of symptoms. Make sure you do not have any anatomical issues like uretaral reflux and systemic illnesses like dianetes.
