General to start: A general pediatrician can evaluate and treat the vast majority of such problems. In cases of persistent nasal congestion where there is concern that a structural or anatomic problem might be present (e.g., enlarged adenoids, deviated septum, nasal polyps), your pediatrician may then refer you to a pediatric ENT for further evaluation. An allergist can also sometimes be helpful in difficult cases.

Yours: This is a routine question lots of parents have. Your regular pediatrician should be able to offer advice.
