Hi, my almost 3 month old has a stuffy nose and a bit of a cough. i took him to a gp because our pediatrician is on leave, he prescribed sinupret syrup and prospan syrup, is that safe for his age? what else can i do to open up his nose?

Saline wash : I consider neither med appropriate for infants that age. Small infants have small nasal passages that block easily with inhaled irritants/dust/fumes. They are best cleared with saline nose wash while those meds tend to thicken mucus & make things worse.Eliminate any smells/dust/irritants & this will happen less.
