You cannot: Mpv or mean platelet volume is a measure of the size of platelets. A higher number indicates larger platelets, which is a sign of increased production of young platelets or rarely, abnormal platelets. If you have a low platelet count and high mpv this may indicate destruction of platelets (itp or dic). If you platelet count is normal and you do not have bleeding, just ignore this.
