I had a sore throat, a tiny runny nose, headache and then a slight cough. i assumed it was the beginning of a cold. i then started crying and now im in pretty sure i just activated (in a way) the virus that was already there. i am now sick in bed?

Illnesses progress in whatever pattern they take whether you start crying or not. Some have minor symptoms that you can continue to function relatively normal while others will put you in bed. Rest and make an effort to stay well hydrated & this may pass. If it gets worse seek help.
