Montgomery glands: They are called montgomery glands or areolar skin glands. Their function is partially unknown, but scientists suppose they secrete a liquid that lubricates the nipple/areola area.

The Montgomery: Glands lubricate the aerola ; nipples. This is important during breast feeding. They usually enlarge during pregnancy and lactation. Take care.
