Yes: But overkill and unnecessary expense. A cheap alternative is to put the pillows in a regular supermarket plastic bag (that is clean) and stick it in the freezer for about 4 hours every 3 months. Kills all pathogens and dust mites! do it with the stuffed animals as well.

No need: An alternative is to wash and dry your pillows every three months. Also use an hypoallergenic pillow cover and change bed linens weekly.
