Not broke/don't fix: I'll agree it sounds peculiar but if it works for you why worry about it. Per-sleep rituals are common to all of us, but most just decide to give it up, get in bed, get into position and let go. If you are embarrassed by what you do you need to find an unrelated therapist and explore the issue. Perhaps they could help you alter the pattern to something that feels right.
