Kidney failure labs: In addition to elevated BUN and creatinine levels in the blood, patients with kidney failure have low hemoglobin, carbon dioxide and calcium blood levels. They also have high parathyroid hormone, potassium and phosphorus levels. Pt's with chronic kidney disease (ckd) can have some of these abnormal levels, but with lesser deviation from normal depending on the class of their ckd.
