Hematuria: need a pathologist or nephrologist to review the urine sample to ensure that it is not from the kidney. May need a kidney biopsy if not already done. Have you had a renal ultrasound to ensure that it is not from a kidney stone or other structural problem of the kidney? Have you had your renal function checked and do you have protein in the urine?

Blood that appears..: at the end of urination is usually due to lower urinary tract infection or inflammation. A typical mid-stream urine collection may miss the blood or any infectious organisms associated with it. Collecting urine at the end of urination, when blood appears, is more likely to be diagnostic. If that is unrevealing, a visit to a urologist may be warranted to help identify the site and cause of bleeding
