Why does my urine sample reveal a normal sample, with no protein, sugar or blood when my kidney function has decreased dramatically.(as per previous blood test)asymptomatic of any kidney problems.i follow a fasting diet.can this impact results?

It is very common and entirely normal for urinalysis to be entirely normal in people with reduced kidney function, even when quite advanced. Diet is not likely to make any difference. Discuss with the doctor(s) providing care for this problem. Good luck.

One time test with all else being normal warrants a repeat of the test as not all tests are infalliable. Pl do that. lets Hope it comes back ok
