Need to evaluate: This should not have persisted so long. Your description is consistent with nerve compression in your lower back causing a lumbosacral radiculopathy. Whether this is due to aberrant blood vessels or a disc herniation needs to be discovered. An MRI and an EMG should help. See your doctor and get this answered and treated.

Nerves not vein: You are probably saying your L4 and L5 nerve roots are pinched at the spinal cord level. The main concern will be irreversible damage. Since you have been having this for 2 years now may i suggest you see a neurologist to evaluate and if appropriate if there significant concerns such as potential neurologic compromise see a spine surgeon.
