Whether antibiotics are effective or not has nothing to do with particular persons being resistant to their effect. They work (or not) because a) an infection is or is not bacterial vs viral and b) whether the bacteria involved are inhibited or killed by that particular antibiotic. BV often fails to respond or promptly recurs after metronidazole, but other treatments are available.

One course of metronidazole to cause resistant yeast infection is almost unheard of so I wonder if you have any other risk factor or the diagnosis of BV was incorrect. Recolonization of the vagina with probiotic therapy for recurrent BV can be tried if you have not done yet. You can buy vaginal probiotic suppository such as Ecovag in Amazon or some other similar products.
