4-6 months: They usually have pretty good control by 4 months of age. They have really good control by 6 months of age.

Motor development: Babies usually have good head control by 6 months. If not they should be evaluated by a good pediatrician. Minimal neck support is as necessary after 6 months depending on how tired they are. When sleeping neck support is needed for all infants.
