Check blood pressure: Heavy upper body weight can increase systemic resistance leading to very high blood pressure. Hypertension is common in weight lifting competition. Half the weight with more reps is more effective for muscle tone and conditioning. Work several body areas during a session as lower body sets tend to reduce blood pressure. Alternate between upper body and lower body sets.
