Several possibilitie: It is almost certainly not normal. With numbness, this can be a problem with one of the nerves that goes into your hand. However, it is even possible that the numbness and the inability to straight your fingers could be two separate problems, such as carpal tunnel and dupuytren's. Most likely is pressure on the funny bone (ulnar) nerve. Should not ignore it. Make sure there s no neurologic problem.
