Complicated question: Assuming that neither of you have other partners (for they would need to be treated as well), you both should be ok. But i would still recommend condoms to fully protect each other. There is always the possibility of treatment resistant chlamydia, i would recommend you f/u with your doctor for toc (test of cure).

Hi there I recently had sex and the next day went to the doctor and he recommended I take a 1 dose treatment of azithromycin to reduce chances of contracting chlamydia, is this going to increase my chances of getting antibiotic resistance?
