Yes, possibly: Chlamydia tests usually remain positive for several days after treatment, but it might turn negative as soon as 3 days. Unless the azithromycin treatment is urgent, best to delay treatment until the chlamydia test is done. Or speak with the doctor or clinic about self collecting your chlamydia test now (vaginal swab or urine). The specimen will still be good if kept in a refrigerator for 3 days.
