A member asked:

If you are in hospital and get spirometry when you have cold, will that return an incorrect result?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cold: If it's really just a cold (affecting nose and nasal pharynx), spirometry which measures lower respiratory passages (lungs and bronchi) will not be affected.
