I work in care and do a lot of lifting how long before i can return to work after an appendectomy?

2 to 4 weeks: It depends on how the appendectomy was performed. If it was done laparoscopically, i let my patients resume normal activity in 2 weeks. If done open through a muscle splitting incision like a rocky-davis incision, the 4weeks. Ask your surgeon.
