Usually Yes: Everyone has a different tolerance for pain and recovery. Usually for my patients that undergo laparoscopic appendectomy, they can return to work as soon as they can perform their job safely and up to the expectations of their employer. Usually this is between 3-14 days. My only restriction is no heavy lifting over 15lbs for 2 weeks. Speak with your surgeon to see if he/she has any restrictions.
