Eyelid swelling: Eyelid swelling can be caused by various causes. If it has started recently and is associated with some redness and tenderness, then it may be a stye. Conversely, if the changes are more chronic, this may represent some stretching of the eyelid skin and muscle. In older patients, this can get bad enough to block the vision. If you're concerned, then see your eye doctor.
