Need more time: Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for 3 days is not enough. You need to stay on it about 10 days for toe infection. If after 10 days still same you need to ask your doctor to evaluate the antibiotic treatment.

The choice of : Antibiotic is based on the organism growing. Culturing a wound helps in identifying the organism. Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is not the most common antibiotic for lower extremity infections. Since you mention that one and levoquin it sounds like you are penicillin allergic. If Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is not working, consider doxycycline. Levoquin carries risk of tendon ruptures.
