No: You need to keep in mind that the shunt tubing runs under the scalp.It then goes down the neck generally across the clavicle and into the peritoneum.If you pull you hair up into a ponytail, you are lifting up the scalp and potentially "dragging" the shunt along.You may thus feel more tension on it in the neck or chest. It is probably a good idea to let things heal and settle down before doing this.
