possibly: Is this a new "bump?" there is always going to be one where the shunt valve/reservoir is. If you think this is a new bump, i would see your neurosurgeon.

Probably: What you refer to as a bump on your head may be the shunt valve. Have your surgeon take a look at it at your next appointment.
