Check with doctor: Assuming that you injured the area (exercise, trauma), then the pulled muscle may be torn muscle, detachment of the muscle from the chest wall, injury to the costosternal junction (separation of the rib connection with the chest bone), etc. Ten days of 10/10 pain suggests significant injury, so check with your doctor.
