Muscle pull?: Most likely a pulled muscle still. Try heat and anti inflammatories until you can see your physician

Could be nerve: Pain and numbness can be caused by nerve compression. This often happens as the nerve comes out of the spine. You will need to be seen and examined to know for sure. Good luck.
