Back pain : If your GI work is negative. Then it could be musculoskeletal pain. I do not think you need further work up.

Diverticulitis?: Your doctors are probably imaging the bowel with a ct scan to exclude diverticulitis. This is an inflammation of small out-pouchings from the bowel wall.
