Medications are often used, but it can also be helpful to utilize a therapy setting to work on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connected to your anxiety. You will also want to pay attention to exercise, consistent diet, and healthy relationships.

Don't worry!: It won't help! ther are effective treatments. Medications, such as antidepressants, that raise serotonin levels in the brain are effective, along with long acting benzodiazepines such as Clonazepam (short term use--potentially addicting). Even psychotherapy without meds can help. Make an appointment with a therapist and if necessary, they can refer you to a psychiatrist.
