Exercising for two mos aerobic weight train. doing on and off exer for many years. is it ok when you do new dvd for heart rate to go up quickly &down?

Heart rate should coincide w/activity, slowest at rest especially during sleep and fastest during hard exercise or physical exertion. If yours increases as you exercise then slows down quickly during rest, then you're (relatively) fit.
