Maxillary cyst: As a general rule, consider 17 days a benchmark. Use ice on the outside of the upper jaw and take medication prescribed by the dentist. Don't take nsaids or Aspirin unless the oral surgeon says it's ok. Remember, maxillofacial is a major, traumatic insult to the body and should be treated as such. If you start running a fever or the symptoms get worse, see the dentist.
