Tomatoes: Sure, you can get good nutrition out of eating tomatoes. How you eat them depends on what nutrients you're most seeking. If you want more lycopene, cooked is better than raw. Lycopene is an antioxidant linked with lower risk of cancer and heart attacks. For more vitamin c, raw is better than cooked. http://tinyurl.com/nxvdn3 if you're going to cook tomatoes, i suggest not frying them.

Yes indeed: Raw is probably best. You'll get plenty of vitamins a, c, and k and some of the lycopenes that some scientists think are very helpful. If you like them, they're a low-sodium, low-calorie, low-fat snack for you.

Value of tomato: OH YES -the most ---- raw tomatoes are nutritionally excellent ---- be sure they are washed well --- cooking removes some vitamins and minerals into the cooking water.
