Things to ask: How frequently are you breastfeeding? Are you back to work or school and also pumping breast milk? How often does she need a formula feed? Is she also receiving solid foods? These are questions to discuss with your baby's doctor. Your doctor will also look at how well she is growing and gaining weight. A lactation consultant can help. Weaning breast feeds: You are possibly at the end of the breast milk production. It takes only 5 mints to empty a breast, if she is there for one 1 hr she is not drinking milk. She is using your breast as a pacifier. If your breast does not feel tense and if you do not feel 'empty' after feeding , production is low. Wean !

Longer not better: You will empty 80% in 5 and 95% in 10 min/side while the extra 40 min actually interupts the breasts ability to recover. More frequent not longer feeds improve your volume. The kid appears to enjoy the nurturing time (?) and if so i would not try to wean.Get with a feeding coach and work on your volume.
