Son had appendectomy dr said appendix appeared normal but was full of some kind of junk that they spilled...iv antibiotic, what could it have been?

Probably stool: Appendix is connected to cecum (colon). When u cut through it, stool can spill. It is usually very liquid and can look like "junk". Abx should b sufficient.

Possibly: In the worst case fecal content! so stay on antibiotics, please!
