Had a root canal treatment and the cotton dressing just peeled off...i m on a trip and not sure about the docs here.. pls suggest what i can do?

Lost dressing : Keep the tissue clean by gargling with warm salt water every 2 hours while you are awake. When you get home, call your dentist as soon as you can.

Root canal dressing: If the root canal was completed, this should not cause any discomfort other than food impaction. It's possible that most of the temporary filling is still in the tooth and only the top layer has worn down. Keep the area as clean as possible. Place some cotton to keep food out, or check at the pharmacy for temporary filling material.

look for a dentist: It is very important to find a dentist and remove the cotton, clean the area and place a temporary filling otherwise the root canal may get reinfected.
