It depends: It depends mainly how fast it dropped . If it is sudden drop , sure it is alarming . If it is chronic , then it should not be

Slightly abnormal.: The normal range for sodium is 135-145 mmol/l. A better indicator is how long it has been in this range, is it stable, and are you on any medications that can cause this.
