Hyponatremia: First you have to find out if your sodium level is low from dilution(too much water) or from depletion(loss from vomiting, diarrhea, excess sweating) also inadequate function of adrenal glands(ex:addison's disease) and inappropriate secretion of a hormone called adh (vasopressin). Each of these have different therapeutic approaches. Discuss with your pcp.
