Check it out: There are a number of reasons for abdominal pain after surgery, ranging in seriousness from mild to significant. It would be worth letting your surgeon know, as the development of new pain in the first few weeks after surgery, may indicate an infection. If you have other symptoms such as fever, chills or night sweats, you should have this evaluated right away.
