A few days: The 'cyst' is realy an extension of the joint space of the facet, or the knuckles, of your back. As such, motion is best for these as other joints. So, following a procedure, gentle walking both on the flats, and gentle elevations and stairs, are useful. We have patients in the pool to water walk two days after a procedure, to get the joint moving again, safely.
